Message from our Tumuaki
Ruia, ruia, tahia, tahia,
Kia hemo te kākoakoa,
Kia herea mai i te kawau korokī.
Kia tātaki mai i roto i te pūkorokoro, whaikoro,
Te kūaka, he kūaka mārangaranga,
Te Kura o Hato Hōhepa Te Kāmura is situated in the heart of Whangaroa, under the korowai of Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa. We have a long and proud history. The kura fuses its location of Waitaruke, Whangaroa; its local history, and the Catholic Faith to mark its unique position in the world.
We are a Special Character Māori-Catholic kura; offering education through Te Reo Māori and Te Reo Pākeha, underpinned by our core values of pono, aroha, tika, and hūmārie. We believe ALL tamariki can experience a successful and inspiring education, irrespective of their circumstances.
I am extremely proud to be part of the kura whānau and journey thus far and look forward to witnessing the exciting developments to come.
Please feel free to contact us if you have questions or make an appointment to visit us.
